First October Session of 2016 (Part One)

Lawrence's blue jacket tells us that fall is in the air as we gather for our first session in October of this year.  The blue jacket on the diesel locomotive tells us that Malcolm must be running 302 out of Ralph Yard.  This first grouping of images was sent courtesy of Malcolm.  His videos from the session can be found at:  https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipNUy3dTcrANxLXQCwvOJipVuajwrY7ZB_YSThS1zyNeAd4GwsSVssQbxCNslYumxA?key=TkppTVE2dFg2a3JBdjYtTlczQXFNWVJRVEU1bWJn

Lawrence also has his blue road switcher ready to take on a train in Firgrove.

Looks like Malcolm's train has completed its work at Bell and is in the hole on the new extended siding at Watkins.  That's me...railfanning another train in the distance.

Steve has Passenger #2 in Spruce.

Garry's CN Geep works the east end of Nelson Yard.

I spot Chris's CP switcher with 301 in Spruce.

A meet with 312 and 301 at Spruce.

301 waits for 312 to depart before they can take the siding to complete their moves in Spruce.

Pat arrived later and is spotted enjoy the talk around the table.

312 meets 319 at Ironwood.

Paul's CP unit works Douglas Yard.

Hmmm...something's amiss with this scene!

311 completing their run as they begin their ascent to Firgrove.

Lela and Chris spotted earlier switching out Stuart Yard in Bell while Henk looks on.

Lots to do!

Thanks, Malcolm, for the great looking shots.

Brian has brought out his CP diesel and has it ready to run on the pool train today.
Lawrence will haul the ore train with his B&O road switcher.

Some of the ore cars in Craig Leigh.

The Brain Trust meets to discuss the operations on the day.

Douglas Yard before the session.

She's pretty full.

The three yards at Nelson, Glen Hammond and Bell.

Maintenance conducted earlier in the week managed to extend the siding at Watkins.

And strengthen the crossing at the fence.

Paul is my crewmate aboard 318.

Steve has Passenger #2 on the roll out of Firgrove.

Malcolm checks out the new siding with Train 302.

Yup, plenty of length as 327 meets 302 at Watkins.

Passenger #2 meets 318 in Ironwood.

While the meet takes place, Paul exhibits some new dance moves.

But Steve is having none of it.

Speaking of dance moves, Chris is teasing his lovely wife, Lela, in Mount St. Helens with 301.

301 meets 318 at Ironwood.

Then 318 heads up to Mount St. Helens.

Where they meet Train 15.

Steve pulls into Craig Leigh with Passenger #2.  He will wye the train and back into the station tracks.

318 arrives Douglas Yard.

Steve readies Passenger #1 for the return run to Firgrove.

He's outbound by-passing Douglas Yard.

Around the big bend.

In the meantime, Moe and Pat share the table.
Check in later in the week for Part Two which will share more images of our first session in October.
